This was a demo that I wrote, originally intended for the album. It was the least realized concept out of all the songs in the demo stage and I felt it needed more work on my end before sending it to the fellas. But the song ended up falling behind in priority and, by the time we were in pre production, we already had the 12 songs locked in that we wanted on the album. I sent it to the guys regardless and they liked it but we all agreed it needed some work, and we didn't have room for it. So it's still in demo stage, not fully realized, but I think it's something that adds to the lore of the final album and maybe sparks your imagination into where we were going to take a thirteenth song if we committed to it. Enjoy!
lyrics
Cloud shaper, moving above,
They kept riding till the light was gone,
Climb over, climb the fences,
In the summer there’ll be sleeping dogs
Hold quiet, holding your breath,
Walk sideways, they won’t hear the steps,
Chlorine waters, waving in gold,
Caught reflection from the swinging bulbs
There is not a place for us to hide,
It’s blocked the gates and shut our eyes,
And in the garden, poison pours into the ventilation
Lay down angels into the beds,
Next to the highways where the great gods sped,
Grey sky coastal, mystery moon,
Turn the star shapes as it lights the room
Some of us are right where we should stand,
So when the switch is flipped we’ll land,
Where all the others they will spin,
Because the world begins again…
Hall light on, turn it off now,
Walk the carpets so it makes no sound,
Cloud shaper, moving outside,
Storm will gather in the summer night

Music and Lyrics written by Jessy Ribordy
Crappy vocals, piano, and random percussion that made no sense performed by Jessy Ribordy.
The Night, Kai and Marina have all been my favs. It might be a bit surprising but I really like to exercise to this album. I dance/exercise in my room and I find Kai and the drum rhythms can really get me moving! The music and lyrics are really mysterious and so my imagination starts to wander, and I like that a lot as I try to forget that I'm exercising, and just focus on expression. The slower tracks are great for stretching too. Jessica Poole
This was my first introduction to The Gloomcatcher. I went back and listened to Slow Chorale and fell in love with the sonic landscapes. Stephanie Reynolds
I was so salty about Falling Up ending the first time I didn't truly appreciate this album when it came out. This whole record is solid and there is something on there for everyone. This deserves a vinyl release for sure. Reagen Brooks (Fan)
Willowy electronic music from Marc Riordan constructed from pillowy tones and quiet atmospherics make for an absorbing listen. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2021
Jessy Ribordy has outdone himself yet again. This sweeping collection of music will pull you in and tell you a story that there are no words for. Listening to it leaves me enchanted and soothed. The music is both spread out wide and completely intimate all at once. Liberty Hoffman
